Wineries and Cellar Doors There are now over 50 wineries & cellar doors on the Granite Belt to choose from - whether large or boutique - you are sure to find the wine you are looking for. Variety and depth of character produced in the wines of the Granite Belt is testament to it's being the Premier Wine Region. Treat yourself to a guided tour, or just meander with friends and taste test our beautiful wines, or call into the commercial Hotel (Stanthorpe 1st Wine Bar). Bar 1915 or Piano Lounge in the heart of town.
South East Fishing The Southern Downs and Granite Belt river systems offer good fishing opportunities. Rivers, dams and creeks are well stocked with fingerlings on a regular basis. Rivers and dams include the Condamine, Severn River and Glenlyon, Coolmundra and Storm King Dams. More detailed information is available through the Stanthorpe Tourist Information Office.
Girraween and Sundown National Parks The Granite Belt is famous for it's spectacular National Parks and pristine mountain environment. The high country stretches between Stanthorpe and Tenterfield of NSW - and is home to Girraween, Boonoo Boonoo and the Sundown National Parks.
